Xiaomi is fueling interest in new smartphones based on Snapdragon 875

Xiaomi is preparing its new products with 5nm chips

We must pay tribute to Apple – she knows how to inspire her followers, forcing them to line up in line for new products. So at yesterday’s presentation, the company did everything to make users believe in the power of its hardware and the ability to create useful services. Yesterday, the most powerful tablet iPad Air was presented, which opens a series of devices with 5-nanometer chips.

Let’s be objective, Apple again took and left competitors. She was the first to create a 5nm processor – Apple A14 Bionic. What about other companies? Huawei should come second to the finish line with its Kirin 1000. Qualcomm will be the third in the race “who will be the first to roll out the 5-nm chip”. And so that users of Android devices would not be so offended that Apple is once again ahead of the rest, a number of companies began to assure that models with 5nm processors would appear in their camp as well.

In particular, Vice President of Xiaomi and Head of Redmi Liu Weibing decided to ask a simple question on his Weibo page: are users eagerly awaiting new devices based on processors created using 5nm technology? I think it’s not difficult to guess that the majority answered in the affirmative.

And many more began to say that in this way the company hints that smartphones with 5nm chips will appear in its lineup. It was quite logical that the assumptions were made that we are talking about Xiaomi Mi 11 and Redmi K40 Pro, which should receive the Snapdragon 875.

Recall that the contract for the production of Snapdragon 875 was knocked out by Samsung and they say that production has already started. The novelty will have to compete with Apple A14 Bionic and Kirin 9000. With a high degree of probability, Qualcomm’s product will bypass the last of the named competitors. It will be much more interesting to look at the battle with the “apple” chipset.
