Twitter describes the event, which will be hosted by Jason Derulo, as a “30-minute variety show” that will feature “electronics, household items, clothing, seasonal decorations, special guests and more. ” . Viewers will be able to select an item and clicking on it will return them to the Walmart site to complete the purchase.

Twitter also wants to improve the platform used by sellers to advertise their products on the social network. There will soon be a new shopping manager that will “make the on-board experience easier for merchants”. The social network is also making the store module, which is a carousel of products that can be displayed on a Twitter profile, available to a greater number of merchants in the United States.

Twitter has been looking for ways to grow its business to reduce its reliance on digital advertising, which accounts for 89% of its revenue. The company also recently launched a monthly subscription product calledTwitter Blue. But it is not yet available in France.
