People who have an Android 12 smartphone can now use the Amazon Appstore. The app storeno longer worked with the latest operating system update from Google.
Return of the Amazon Appstore on Android 12
This is through a press release sent to Engadget that Amazon announces support for Android 12:
We have released a fix for an issue affecting the launch of apps for Amazon Appstore customers who have upgraded to Android 12 on their mobile devices. We’re reaching out to customers with the steps to update their Appstore experience. We are sorry for any disruption this may have caused.
The update can be obtained from this address. Once installed, you must open the application, disconnect from your Amazon account and then reconnect. Then you have to update all the applications that have been downloaded via the Amazon App Store. To do this, you must open the application store, go to the “My apps” section and then touch the button to install the various updates.
Amazon seems to still have a bit of work to do, however. Indeed, users say that the update still causes problems. Some explain that several applications do not appear on the Amazon Appstore. Others are entitled to error messages.
