Samsung smartphones can run Android apps on PC
Android applications made friends with Widows 10
When the head of Microsoft appeared at the presentation of Samsung Galaxy Note 10, many began to wonder what it was for. It turned out that the cooperation between the two companies, which has been going on for several years now, will become even deeper, we will witness a strategic cooperation on the merger of “two worlds.”
Strategic cooperation boils down to the fact that when creating the proprietary One UI shell, they began to provide by default a connection with Windows and services from Microsoft, and the American tech giant will do everything to make Samsung smartphones seamless work with his computers. This is an attempt to test how Microsoft services can work with smartphones, and at the same time it is possible to run Android applications on a PC.
The first step was taken in the Galaxy Note 10, when the user was able to log into the MS account from the smartphone in order to have access to all files in the Microsoft cloud. Promoting the theme of creating a kind of ecosystem, during the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, it was announced about an even deeper integration of the two systems, where users will now be allowed to work with mobile applications installed on a smartphone directly from a computer screen based on Windows 10.
This can be done using the “Your Phone” application, and it is also important that the computer and smartphone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This will allow users to play, chat, shop, and more using a large computer monitor and mechanical keyboard.
The introduction of the new feature started last month and gradually the list of supported devices will grow. At the moment, all the company’s flagships, starting in 2018, as well as a number of A-series models, were the first to be selected.
