Samsung A42 could be the first smartphone with Snapdragon 750G

The South Korean company Samsung decided to equip its new product Samsung A42 with a powerful processor.

In early September, we told you about the new Samsung smartphone called Galaxy A42 5G. It should be the company’s cheapest 5G smartphone. At the time of the announcement, we already knew the main technical characteristics. However, the most important thing the company decided to keep secret – the processor.

Today there was fresh information that the heart of the device could be a completely new mobile platform Snapdragon 750G, presented only yesterday.

Indian techno edition Dealntech has shared a screenshot of the source code of the smartphone test results in Geekbench … The image shows that the codename of the device is SM-A426B. The source code itself showed that the chip that powers the Galaxy A42 has eight cores, two of which run at 2.21 GHz, and the other six at 1.8 GHz. It also turned out that the Adreno 619 video accelerator is working with the chip.

We have already mentioned that there are rumors on the web that the Galaxy A42 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 690, introduced last month. However, the revealed specs of the processor actually found in the new Samsung smartphone match the recently unveiled Snapdragon 750G chipset.

This is not good news. Samsung fans can expect really good hardware, and even very fresh. But given that we have rumors in front of us, it’s too early to rejoice. We are waiting for accurate information in the near future.
