POCO M4 pro 5G: very good performance for less than 300 euros

POCO has just unveiled the POCO M4 Pro 5G, a smartphone with high-flying features offered at an ultra-competitive price.

The POCO M4 Pro 5G looks like the Redmi Note 11, which is to be expected as it’s probably the same model, still distributed by Xiaomi. The smartphone is powered by a 5G-capable MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor and backed by 4-6GB of RAM. The 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD screen displays 2400 x 1080 pixels at an adaptive refresh rate of 90Hz.

The storage capacity varies between 64 and 128 GB depending on the model, and the fingerprint sensor is located on the sides of the device. A Jack port is also present as a small and increasingly rare bonus.

For a high level of responsiveness in video games, the touchscreen sampling goes up to 240 Hz. The MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage expandable via microSD up to 1 TB.

The POCO M4 Pro 5G is the first phone in the M series to have such a large 50 megapixel (f/1.8) and an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle (119 degrees, f/2.2) camera combined with a range of creative features such as night mode, kaleidoscope, slow motion and time-lapse. On the front we have a 16 megapixel camera.

The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. It is recharged with a 33W block that promises to recover its full energy in just 59 minutes.

The Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro weighs 195 grams and measures 163.56 x 75.78 x 8.75 mm. It uses the MIUI 12.5 interface based on Android 11.

The availability of this model is set for 11 November in three colours: POCO Yellow, Deep Black and Glacier Blue, as well as in two variants: 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The prices are really hot and come in at well under 300 euros, which is a bargain considering the technical specifications:

Poco M4 Pro 5G 4GB RAM + 64GB storage: 229.90 euros (official price)
Poco M4 Pro 5G 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage: 269.90 euros (official price)
Pre-orders will open tonight at 9pm and the release date is November 11. (We will update the article)
