Physical CES 2022 is maintained, despite numerous cancellations
The physical CES 2022 will indeed take place, announce the organizers of this technological event. The Consumer Technology Association has decided that nothing will change at the program level, despite the many cancellations in recent days.
No cancellation for the tech fair
Several tech groups have decided not to participate in the physical CES 2022. This includes Google, Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft, Hisense, Waymo and more. Advertisers have also decided to cancel their presence, as have the media. Everything is linked to the health situation and the Omicron variant, knowing that it is a trade fair over several days.
On Twitter, the official CES account tries to reassure everyone. “More than 2,200 companies have confirmed their participation in person at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. Our goal is to bring the tech industry together and allow those who cannot attend in person to experience the magic of CES digitally, ” the first tweet read.
“Given our comprehensive health measures, coupled with footfall reduction and social distancing measures, we are confident that attendees and exhibitors can experience a socially distanced but interesting and productive event in Las Vegas, or in the living online ” , we can read next.
