OnePlus no longer offers Android 12 for its OnePlus 9/9 Pro in view of the bugs

OnePlus has decided to no longer offer OxygenOS 12 (Android 12) for its OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. This is explained by the many bugs encountered by users, as we reported a few days ago.

More Android 12 at OnePlus

“We are aware of the issues caused by the OxygenOS 12 update and our software team is working to resolve them. We will suspend this software update and roll out a new iteration as soon as possible, ”OnePlus toldAndroid Police regarding Android 12. There is currently no information regarding the release date of the new version.

On the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, users who have Android 12 installed say they have issues like difficulty making and receiving calls, slow animations, auto-fill function that no longer works, slower internet speed than previously over Wi-Fi and more. The update also removed some personalization elements. For example, you can no longer individually change icons or customize the status bar, just like you can no longer turn off Google feed, battery icon, etc. The call recording app and advanced restart feature are also missing.

It makes you wonder how OnePlus was able to determine that its final version was the right one, to the point of offering it for download. There are a lot of bugs as we can see. We must now hope that the new version will not be long.
