Microsoft announces pre-order dates for Xbox X and Xbox S

Microsoft decided not to waste any time after Sony announced pricing and start dates for PlayStation 5.

Microsoft has announced when and where to pre-order next-gen Xbox consoles.

According to official information, pre-orders for Xbox Series X and S will begin on September 22 at 6:00 pm ET in various retail stores. Major American chains Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club, Gamestop and Newegg will take orders.

According to many media outlets, the fact that Microsoft decided to announce pre-order dates today is a response to how awkwardly Sony is handling the huge order flow for the PlayStation 5 – the new console has arrived at various retail stores at different times, and the result was chaos. Now, different stores have different quantities of goods, and the sites of these stores keep dropping due to the influx of customers.

And although Microsoft has started planning to ship goods for pre-orders in advance, it cannot be fully confident that the company will be able to provide all customers with their purchases without any problems. Let’s see if Microsoft manages not to fall into the mud like Sony does.

Recall that the Xbox X will sell for $ 499, while the digital Xbox S will sell for $ 299.
