Despite the fact that the company itself is positioning the novelty as a concept smartphone, we can say that it is something more than a demo version. Next month, the novelty will go on sale in South Korea, and a little later it will be sold in North America and Europe.
The main thing that sets the LG Wing apart from other smartphones on the market is its unique form factor. It received a swivel 6.8-inch P-OLED display, which in Swivel Mode can be rotated 90 degrees clockwise. In this position, the main display begins to work, as a rule, in landscape mode and a second 3.9-inch display opens. The resolution of the main matrix was 2460×1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20.5: 9, and the second screen was 1240×1080 pixels.
The additional display is useful for typing, navigating, managing content, displaying messages or chatting, and will also allow you to work with another application and act as a kind of stabilizer (tripod) when shooting. The main idea is that the main screen is focused on the main task, and the second is auxiliary, helping to perform actions without using the main screen. The Koreans promise that the swing mechanism will work reliably and smoothly. The announced cycle of disclosure and closure will be 200 thousand.
Built by LG Wing on Snapdragon 765G, 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB flash drive. The smartphone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery and supports fast and wireless charging. There is a 32 megapixel retractable front camera, Android 10 operating system, NFC, IP54 protection and MIL-STD-810G military standard. The main camera is triple with sensors 64 MP (OIS, f / 1.8) + 13 MP (wide-angle, f / 1.9) + 12 MP (wide-angle, f / 2.2). The function of simultaneous shooting on the main camera and the front camera is declared.
Prices for LG Wing have not been announced, but everything indicates that that the price tag will be around $ 1000.
