LG K42 announced: budget with its own distinctive “back”

A budget protected LG K42 with an original design is presented

LG’s mobile division has recently chosen an interesting path of development , relying on the original appearance and unusual form factor. This is a deliberate movement towards creating original models that are unlike other devices. Time will tell to what extent this strategy will be successful.

The new LG K42 can be considered another design experiment. Something revolutionary or striking the imagination was not invented here. The front panel, like most modern devices, is designed as a thin-frame display with a round hole for a selfie-module.

On the back side there is also a rectangular block of the main camera typical for our days, but they tried to focus on it, making it so that the back cover seems to flow around it from both sides. It seems that the desired effect has been achieved by applying a matte film called Unique Wave Pattern.

Alas, but some originality in the design of LG K42 is not traced in the filling. The smartphone is based on the Helio P22 chip, has a 6.6-inch display with HD + resolution, 3/64 GB of memory and a 4000 mAh battery. There is an 8 Mp front camera and a 13 Mp + 5 Mp + 2 Mp + 2 Mp quad rear camera. They offered a dedicated Gogle Assistant button and side fingerprint scanner, support for DTS: X 3D and Android 10 OS with the LG UX shell, and also declared protection according to the military standard MIL-STD-810G. The price tag for LG K42 has not been announced at the moment.
