AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is the ultimate processor for gamers
AMD introduced the Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors. These processors feature ZEN 3 architecture, 7nm process technology and 19 percent IPC improvement over the latest generation processors. Four processors will be available in the coming weeks, each with ZEN 3 architecture, including 2 Ryzen 9 models, one Ryzen 7 and one Ryzen 5.
The weakest part of the new collection is the Ryzen 5 5600X. This model has 6 cores, 12 threads and a maximum overclocking speed of 4.6 GHz. This base model will cost users approximately $ 300. The next most powerful is the Ryzen 7 5800X with 8 cores, 16 threads and a maximum overclocking speed of 4.7 GHz. This model will start at around $ 450.
The Ryzen 9 5900X was also introduced with 12 cores, 32 threads and a maximum overclocking speed of 4.8 GHz. This first of two Ryzen 9 processors will retail for $ 550.
The most powerful of the two is the Ryzen 9 5950X with 16 cores, 32 threads and a maximum overclocking speed of 4.9GHz. AMD calls it the ultimate processor for gamers. This high-end processor will start at around $ 800.
Looking at the starting prices of the 2019 ZEN 2 processors, you can see that the prices of the new ZEN 3 processors have increased by about $ 50. On a positive note, all four processors will be available concurrently on November 5, 2020.
AMD has also announced the upcoming Radeon RX 6000 “Big Navi” family of graphics cards. These cards will be built on the RDNA 2 architecture and will be fully unveiled on October 28, 2020. We will talk about 4K games, 60 frames per second and more competition for NVIDIA.
